For 30+ years Walter has been a creator of things related to the act of play. Specifically, designing and developing adapted toys and learning aids for children with disabilities. As he began to retire from that path, he started exploring the arts using oil paints passed down to him from his dad and grandfather. Having absolute no formal art training has enabled him to approach painting without the influence and boundaries set by others.
The Art Therapy Experience:
Open up and allow the creativity to flow, then experience joy. Bypassing traditional painting techniques, you will focus on using your hands and eyes to move in harmony and sidestep disruptive feelings of uncertainty.
This technique emphasizes a layered approach, allowing everyone at all experience levels to build depth and complexity in their art. This method not only enhances the visual richness of the artwork but also promotes exploration and experimentation, inviting a more personal connection to the creative process.
Kaiilama completed her certification as a Somatic Breath Facilitator through the Power of Breath Institute. For 25 years, she has been supporting individuals of all ages to connect, remember, and enliven their own true inner wisdom. She has supported people to integrate trauma, live medication-free, open their hearts, emotionally regulate, and mentally balance to live joyful, creative, and heart-centered lives. She has a genuine intuitive gift sprinkled with experience, compassion, gentleness, and deep inner knowing.
How Does it Work?
Somatic Breath Therapy is an intentional, conscious connected breath in which the client lies down, closes the pause between the inhale and the exhale while engaging sound and movement while Kaiilama intuitively and skillfully facilitates the opening of the breath in various areas of the body. The connected breath activates the vagal nerve which assists in balancing the nervous system and enlivens deep healing on all levels.
